TechFlow News – According to official announcements, STEPN has updated its economic model and released an "Action Plan for Game Economy" addressing four current challenges facing the project. Details are as follows:
1. Cross-chain Energy Interoperability Update:
1. Each new domain introduced will allow up to three types of energy to be obtained through other existing domains;
2. Each existing domain in which you own sneakers will grant one additional type of energy in the new domain;
3. The extra energy gained in a new domain will have a cap of 3 during the first month, decreasing to 2 in the second month, then further reduced to 1 in the third month. Starting from the fourth month, no additional energy will be granted in new domains under this arrangement.
2. Issue of Earning Rewards via Minting Without Physical Activity:
1. We aim to give players who actively use the app a chance to obtain minting scrolls from Mystery Boxes (MB). Therefore, we have redesigned the MB system by increasing the MB quality threshold from 5 to 10. This means that even users with just one common sneaker possessing 2 energy can still have the opportunity to receive a Mystery Box.
2. We are extending the minting cooldown period from 48 hours to 72 hours and slightly increasing the minting cost, allowing more time for the market to absorb newly produced sneakers. We expect this solution will help steer the economy into a positive cycle.
3. Dynamic Minting Cost Adjustment:
1. The GST component required for minting will remain constant regardless of GST price fluctuations, while the GMT portion will be dynamically adjusted.
2. The adjustment rule is: when the GST price gradually rises, users must pay additional GMT (addGMT) on top of the base GST and base GMT (baseGMT) costs.
4. Sneaker and Gem Recycling Mechanism:
1. Five sneakers of the same quality level can be combined to synthesize one sneaker of the next higher quality tier.
2. Unlike gem upgrades, sneaker synthesis cannot fail, but it still requires a fee paid in both GST and GMT.
3. The minimum and maximum attribute values of the new sneaker will increase by 20%.
4. The type of the new sneaker (Walker/Jogger/Runner/Athlete) will be probabilistically determined based on the types of the five input sneakers.
5. Users may engrave a short message onto the new sneaker, which will be immutable.
