TechFlow news, according to The Wall Street Journal, Fidelity Investments plans to allow investors to open Bitcoin accounts within their 401(k) plans. Later this year, the 23,000 companies using Fidelity to manage their retirement programs will have the option to add Bitcoin to their retirement savings menu.
The U.S. 401(k) system is a retirement benefit program offered by American companies to employees, allowing employers to establish tax-deferred retirement savings plans for workers, which can be invested in funds, stocks, and other assets.
