TechFlow News — Cryptocurrency payments company MoonPay has announced an $87 million funding round, with over 60 high-profile investors participating, including singer Justin Bieber, rapper Snoop Dogg, tennis player Maria Sharapova, and actor Bruce Willis. This investment is part of MoonPay’s Series A fundraising.
Ivan Soto-Wright, CEO of MoonPay, said the company provides payment infrastructure for cryptocurrency and NFT transactions, and expects content creators to increasingly use NFTs to promote their work and engage with fans.
In November last year, MoonPay announced the completion of a $555 million Series A equity financing led by Coatue and Tiger Global, achieving a post-money valuation of $3.4 billion.
