TechFlow news — the DFINITY Foundation's R&D team has now implemented neuron merging functionality within the Internet Computer network's Network Nervous System (NNS), allowing multiple neurons controlled by the same controller key to be merged into a single neuron. The Internet Computer is governed by the NNS, an open, permissionless algorithmic governance system. ICP token holders can stake their tokens in NNS neurons to participate in network governance by voting on whether to adopt or reject network proposals, and they receive voting rewards for their participation.
