TechFlow news, April 2 — the blockchain network Phantasma has been hacked. The attacker exploited a protocol vulnerability to mint large amounts of KCAL and SOUL tokens on BNB Chain. The Phantasma team stated in Discord that they detected the attack within 20 minutes of its occurrence and disabled cross-chain functionality within 30 minutes. However, 500,000 SOUL and 20 million KCAL had already been bridged from BNB Chain to Ethereum, and the SOUL tokens have since been sold. The team urges users to immediately withdraw liquidity from PancakeSwap and Uniswap. They will take a snapshot of token balances prior to the attack, deploy new token contracts, and airdrop replacement tokens to affected users.
