TechFlow News, according to Bloomberg on April 1, Gate.io’s venture capital arm, Gate Ventures, is raising $200 million to invest in the cryptocurrency industry. Gate.io will serve as the cornerstone investor for the $200 million fund. Other investors include family offices and private equity firms from the Asia-Pacific region outside of China. Additionally, it plans to launch an independent $500 million fund in 2023.
In January, Gate Ventures announced an investment in Swiss digital bank SEBA Bank. Last year, the bank obtained Switzerland’s first institutional license for digital asset custody.
