TechFlow News – RabbitHole, a blockchain-based incentive platform, has decided to remove XP (experience points) data earned by users for completing tasks, according to Brian Flynn, co-founder of RabbitHole. He revealed that nearly one-third of users completing tasks were bots, and the gamified mechanism led to an influx of mercenaries and airdrop hunters on the platform.
"From day one, our mission has been to encourage participation in crypto applications and transform people from speculators into contributors. But XP drove certain user behaviors that are misaligned with our long-term vision."
Brian Flynn also stated that users who previously completed tasks and earned XP will be eligible to claim an Adventure Badge—a soulbound NFT that can be carried across applications. Soon, users will be able to mint their completed skills as on-chain credentials, giving them exclusive advantages when applying to web3 projects seeking qualified, crypto-native talent.
