TechFlow news — High-performance public blockchain NEAR has formed a global league partnership with SailGP, the international sailing championship, involving DAOs, NFTs, and community initiatives for racing and crypto enthusiasts. As part of the collaboration, SailGP will explore selling new teams to DAOs launched on the NEAR protocol—the first community-driven participation and activation platform in professional sports. Operating under the current SailGP Team Participation Agreement framework, DAO teams could join the SailGP starting lineup as early as Season 4 in 2023, subject to compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Meanwhile, NEAR will leverage SailGP’s global technology platform to develop authentic IP and web3 applications for fan engagement, data delivery and management, and league operations.
