TechFlow News — According to the Ukrainian Ministry of Digital Transformation's Twitter, President Zelenskyy has signed into law legislation legalizing the cryptocurrency industry. From now on, both foreign and Ukrainian cryptocurrency exchanges will be allowed to operate legally, banks can open accounts for crypto companies, and the market will be regulated by the National Securities and Stock Market Commission.
The law establishes the legal status, classification, and ownership of virtual assets; defines the list of virtual asset service providers and their registration requirements; and sets out financial monitoring measures within the virtual asset sector. Additionally, the Ministry of Finance is actively amending Ukraine’s tax code and civil code to fully launch the virtual asset market. The law was previously passed by Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada on February 17.
