TechFlow News, January 17 — Spice DAO announced on Twitter that it has successfully acquired the unpublished manuscript of Alejandro Jodorowsky's film adaptation of "Dune" for €2.66 million (approximately $3.03 million). Moving forward, the project plans to publish the book within legal limits, produce an original animated limited series inspired by the book and sell it to streaming platforms, and support community-driven derivative projects.
Previously, Spice DAO had raised over 2,608 ETH (worth more than $8.7 million) via Juicebox. Any surplus funds will be used to cover costs such as scanning and storage, as well as other activities, subject to voting by the DAO community.
