TechFlow News — Cross-chain DeFi protocol Umee has raised $32 million through the sale of its native token UMEE on CoinList. The token sale launched on December 2, attracting over 920,000 wallet registrations on the CoinList platform, with 64,000 unique addresses ultimately purchasing UMEE tokens. Brent Xu, CEO of Umee, stated that the funds will be used to expand the team and further develop compliant resources and underlying infrastructure through additional marketing efforts, aiming to grow its global community.
Umee is a cross-chain DeFi platform designed to interconnect blockchains. As a foundational layer DeFi protocol, it enables developers to build an ecosystem of applications on top of Umee. The team plans to launch its mainnet by mid-February 2022, with the testnet rolling out in the coming days. In June of this year, Umee secured $6.3 million in seed funding from investors including Polychain and Coinbase.
