TechFlow News: The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) has announced its "Fintech 2025" strategy, proposing that the authority will conduct in-depth research to enhance preparations for issuing wholesale and retail central bank digital currencies (CBDC), known as the digital Hong Kong dollar. The HKMA will also continue collaborating with the People's Bank of China to carry out technical testing of the digital renminbi (e-CNY) in Hong Kong, aiming to provide convenient cross-border payment services for residents of Hong Kong and the mainland.
