TechFlow News — ZkEVM, the first EVM-compatible zkRollup scaling project developed by Matter Labs, has announced the launch of the Alpha version of the zkSync 2.0 testnet on the Ethereum mainnet. Users can now view network activity on zkSync 2.0 using a block explorer.
Deployed features include: Cryptography — the zkEVM instruction set is complete and has been deployed in both circuit and execution environments; Compiler — smart contracts written in Solidity and Zinc can now be compiled into zkEVM bytecode; Core Infrastructure — full node integration is complete, enabling successful deployment and execution of compiled smart contracts. The team stated that to provide a more comprehensive developer experience, access to zkEVM, the compiler, and core SDK will be opened immediately once the compiler reaches 100% reliability.
