TechFlow News, according to Newswire on May 9, Geometric Energy Corporation (GEC) today announced the DOGE-1 lunar mission will launch aboard SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket, marking the first commercial lunar payload in history fully paid for with Dogecoin (DOGE). Geometric Energy's DOGE-1 mission will involve its subsidiary, Geometri Space Company (GSC) mission management team, collaborating with SpaceX to launch a 40-kilogram CubeSat as a rideshare payload on the "Falcon 9" lunar mission in the first quarter of 2022. The payload will gather lunar spatial intelligence from sensors and cameras via integrated communication and computing systems. Samuel Reid, CEO of Geometric Energy Corporation, said: "Geometric Energy and SpaceX have entered into a significant formal agreement using DOGE, establishing DOGE as the accounting unit for lunar business operations in space."
