TechFlow News, according to the Shanghai Securities News, testing of the digital RMB is accelerating, with the six major state-owned banks beginning promotion of digital RMB wallets. At branches of these banks, customers can now apply for access by requesting inclusion in the whitelist, allowing participation in the pilot through setting up bank sub-wallets within the central bank's digital RMB app. Numerous application scenarios have already begun accepting digital RMB. Not only leading internet platforms such as JD.com and Meituan, but also physical retail locations like Heishi vending machines in Shanghai Metro and Plaza 66 department store in Xujiahui, have started accepting digital RMB as a payment method.
