TechFlow News — According to reports by CCTV Finance, since last year, the surge in cryptocurrency prices has driven up prices of newly released graphics cards significantly. Taking the RTX 3070 model as an example, when it was first launched in September last year, official retail prices announced by various brands were only 3,899 yuan. However, within four months of its release, the market price of the 3070 had risen to around 8,000 yuan—a price increase exceeding 100%. Even older models of graphics cards have been fetching high prices. In interviews, reporters found that many graphics cards are being purchased for cryptocurrency "mining," particularly for mining Ethereum. Miners are buying up nearly every available graphics card on the market. Insufficient production capacity from GPU manufacturers has also become a key reason behind the shortage and rising prices.
