TechFlow news — According to Reuters, a United Nations expert investigation has found that the $281 million worth of assets stolen in September last year may be linked to North Korean hackers, based on preliminary analysis of the attack vector and subsequent money laundering activities. KuCoin could be the biggest victim. Additionally, KuCoin CEO Johnny Lyu stated that KuCoin has already identified the hacker, but per law enforcement's request, the identity will only be disclosed after the case is officially closed.
Previously, KuCoin CEO Johnny Lyu announced this month that KuCoin had successfully recovered approximately $285 million in funds stolen during the September 2020 incident.
