TechFlow news, according to Korea's Maeil Business Newspaper, South Korean game company Nexon plans to partner with Vidente, a shareholder of Bithumb, to jointly acquire Bithumb for 5 trillion won (approximately $460 million). Currently, Bithumb's major shareholders include Bithumb Holdings (74%), mobile broadcasting company Vidente (10%), and Omnitel (8%).
Nexon is a South Korean computer game company founded in May 1995 and headquartered in Seoul, South Korea. It develops casual online games, with notable titles including Mabinogi, Mabinogi Heroes, Dungeon & Fighter (DNF), Crazy Arcade (Bubbles), KartRider, Lineage of the Sky, Kingdom of the Winds, MapleStory (known as "Maple Valley" in some regions), Counter-Strike Online, and Counter-Strike Online 2.
