TechFlow news — According to an official blog post, due to the lawsuit filed by the U.S. SEC against Ripple, Coinbase plans to suspend XRP trading on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time (02:00 Beijing time, January 20, 2021). Coinbase stated that trading will enter a limit-only order phase starting at 6:20 a.m. Beijing time on December 29, and XRP trading will be fully suspended at 2:00 a.m. Beijing time on January 20. The suspension will not affect customers' access to their XRP wallets, and XRP will continue to be supported on Coinbase Custody and Coinbase Wallet. Coinbase will continue monitoring legal developments related to XRP and provide updates to customers as more information becomes available.
