TechFlow news — United Overseas Bank (UOB), the third-largest bank in Singapore by total assets, appears to be developing a cryptocurrency custody solution.
The bank is hiring for a "Vice President – Cryptography Security Administrator" to obtain expert insights on designing secure solutions for managing cryptographic keys.
According to the job description, candidates should have clear understanding and experience with HSM devices, cryptographic standards, cryptographic key generation and management, as well as payment network standards including tokenization.
The listing suggests UOB's crypto custody initiative is still in early stages. Currently, there are no other crypto-related job openings at the bank. UOB declined to comment on the matter.
Earlier, DBS Bank—the largest bank in Singapore—announced on its official website that it was preparing to launch its own cryptocurrency exchange and custody solution, but the webpage was later taken down. (TheBlock)
