The source said that many merchants in Xiangcheng District of Suzhou have already installed NFC QR codes, though the payment devices are still in the hands of testers. Some testers have already experienced digital yuan payments, which support "offline" and "tap-to-pay" functions. In addition, internal testing is also underway in Chengdu. According to a banking professional in Chengdu, access to the digital yuan wallet—known as the "Panda Wallet"—is currently by invitation-only through a whitelist system, where only those invited by employees of major banks can download it.
