TechFlow reports that the Pudong New Area has officially released its district-level standard titled "Administrative Blockchain Construction Guidelines," jointly issued by the Pudong Market Supervision Administration and the Pudong e-Government Office. This is the first blockchain construction standard in the governmental sector nationwide, filling a critical gap in standards for blockchain applications in government services and administration. Key highlights of this standard include:
1. Strengthening top-level design by clarifying fundamental norms for building blockchains, integrating data onto blockchains, and cross-chain operations;
2. Encouraging multi-party participation in co-construction, significantly enhancing the standard’s scientific rigor and operational feasibility;
3. Focusing on practical application scenarios to promote compatibility and interoperability in government services;
4. Aligning closely with national strategies to advance independent innovation in blockchain technology—incorporating requirements for strong blockchain regulation, national commercial cryptography, and domestic chips into the standard, thereby guiding related research outcomes to be tested and applied first in the Pudong New Area.
