TechFlow news — The official WeChat account of the People's Bank of China reported that recently, the Huizhou Central Sub-branch of the People's Bank of China assisted local police in cracking a cross-border online gambling case involving the use of the virtual currency Tether (USDT). A total of 77 suspects were arrested and three gambling websites dismantled, with the case involving nearly 120 million yuan. The illicit funds flowed not only through bank accounts but also involved virtual currencies, undergoing multiple layers of "cleansing," making the money trail extremely concealed.
