TechFlow News — According to Coindesk, recently Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin called on users to pay attention to Layer 2 scaling solutions. Vitalik emphasized that it is imperative for users to start supporting Rollup-based scaling approaches. He praised Layer 2 solutions utilizing zero-knowledge proof technology, including Optimistic Rollups and ZK Rollups, adding that deploying these solutions on the current Ethereum blockchain could increase transaction throughput from 15 per second to between 1,000 and 4,000 per second. In contrast, general-purpose EVM application smart contracts are relatively lagging behind. Vitalik did not elaborate on when Ethereum would fully transition to Proof-of-Stake (PoS), only stating that Phase 0 of Ethereum 2.0 will happen soon.
