TechFlow news — On September 16, the onshore yuan surged nearly 400 basis points against the U.S. dollar at the opening, successively breaking above the key levels of 6.78 and 6.77. Since the end of May this year, the yuan has entered an appreciation trend. For offshore yuan, it has appreciated over 4,100 basis points from the end of May, currently trading at 6.77; while the onshore yuan has appreciated more than 3,800 basis points, now at 6.78. Affected by the yuan's strengthening, the OTC price of USDT continued to decline. According to Huobi OTC data, USDT dropped as low as 6.81, hitting a new low since January this year, though it still maintains a 0.55% premium compared to the official yuan exchange rate.
