TechFlow news, according to UToday, Coin Metrics calculations show that as of August 11, ETH has a supply of 112.1146 million tokens. Previously, there had been intense debate on crypto Twitter regarding the ETH supply, with many block explorers and data providers showing different figures. As Anthony Sassano, co-founder of Ethhub.io, explained, the key issue is that unlike Bitcoin, Ethereum does not have a built-in function to query total supply. Coin Metrics' "free float supply" model adopts many best practices from traditional capital markets and applies them to crypto assets to determine the supply that is less likely to enter the market. In this case, the data better reflects the liquidity and market capitalization of the crypto asset.
