TechFlow news — Today, Yang Haipo, CEO of ViaBTC mining pool, posted on Weibo stating: "The BCH community has long suffered under ABC; it's time for a change." According to the blogger "Bitcoin," Yang Haipo will initiate another fork of BCH, with the new forked chain's code being BCC. Previously, Amaury, lead developer of BCH ABC, recently indicated that BCH ABC and BCHN might fork in November this year or May next year. BCH ABC is the primary development team behind BCH, while BCHN is a newer development team, partly composed of former ABC members. BCHN later denied this claim.
According to data from Messari, Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is the only major Bitcoin fork coin that failed to outperform Bitcoin (BTC) in 2020. So far this year, BCH has risen by 39%, underperforming BTC's 55% gain. In comparison, BTG rose 92%, BSV surged 142%, and BCD climbed 194%.
