TechFlow news, according to trustnodes, Ethereum is preparing for the final stage of its 2.0 upgrade. Currently, approximately 150,000 ETH (nearly 5,000 deposits of 32 ETH each) have been sent to the Ethereum 2.0 testnet for staking, meaning 5,000 stakers will be active following the multi-client public testnet launch on August 4. According to Ethereum 2.0 coordinator Danny Ryan, at least 16,384 validators (524,288 ETH) are required to activate the validation process.
