TechFlow news — On July 14, Binance held its third anniversary "Beyond Boundless" global virtual conference, where Shawn Shi, co-founder of Alchemy Pay, was invited to speak. He introduced Alchemy Pay as an international payment company focused on hybrid payments combining cryptocurrency and fiat currency, with a vision to drive the integration of crypto and fiat payment systems.
Over the past two years since its founding, Alchemy Pay has expanded to 18 countries and regions worldwide, with its community set to exceed 100,000 members. Regarding hybrid crypto-fiat payments, Shi explained that on the cryptocurrency side, Alchemy Pay maintains strict vetting standards, currently supporting only well-known, secure, and mainstream cryptocurrencies such as BNB, BUSD, and USDT. On the fiat side, it integrates local payment methods from each country, including WeChat Pay, Alipay, Rakuten Pay, UnionPay, and others.
Shi emphasized that Alchemy Pay’s key advantage lies in its ability to support both cryptocurrency and fiat payments simultaneously, along with having developed one of the most globally adaptable payment infrastructures. Speaking about its collaboration with Binance, he noted a strong endorsement of BNB and BUSD. When integrating enterprises, banks, payment providers, and cross-border payment institutions, digital currencies have become essential. Under these circumstances, Alchemy Pay sees BUSD as a suitable intermediary currency for global foreign exchange and is actively considering promoting BUSD as a global FX settlement currency.
