TechFlow news — According to a recent report by CryptoCompare, top-tier exchanges are pushing lower-tier exchanges out of the market. Over the past nine months, the market share of leading exchanges has increased. In Q4 2019, top-tier exchanges (rated AA-B) accounted for 32% of global trading volume. This rose to 36% in Q1 2020 and further climbed to 40% in Q2 2020, while the market share of lower-tier exchanges continued to decline.
Based on CryptoCompare's evaluation criteria, U.S. exchanges remain in the first tier, with Gemini ranked first, followed by Coinbase (2), Kraken (3), itBit (4), and Bitstamp (5).
