On July 13, at the "Sharing Session of Representatives from the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security's Blockchain New Occupation National Standard Drafting Group and the Explanation Meeting on Cooperation for the Blockchain Industry Talent Pool Project Talent Base," Zhang Xiaoyuan, Deputy Secretary-General of the Blockchain Committee of China Electronics Chamber of Commerce, stated that currently the Occupational Classification Catalogue of the People's Republic of China defines 8 major categories, 75 sub-categories, 434 minor categories, and 1,481 occupations, listing 2,670 types of jobs. Blockchain engineering technicians fall under the second major category, while blockchain application operators belong to the fourth major category; the two are parallel, not subordinate, positions. Moving forward, the Blockchain Committee of the China Electronics Chamber of Commerce will steadily advance the development of the national vocational skills standards for blockchain application operators in accordance with relevant requirements set by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security.
