According to a July 13 announcement from the Publicity Department of Xiangcheng District Committee of the CPC Suzhou Municipal Committee, on July 12, during the 2020 Yangtze River Delta Blockchain Technology and Industrial Innovation Conference held in Xiangcheng, Suzhou, the Jiangsu Provincial Blockchain Industry Development Cluster Zone was officially inaugurated. It is reported that Xiangcheng will soon improve policies and systems, establish organizational structures, refine operational mechanisms, and clarify development goals and pathways to initially build the software and hardware infrastructure for a blockchain industry cluster zone. The next step is to strive to become a pioneer in blockchain application demonstrations, a new highland for industrial development, a leader in technological innovation, a source for standard systems, and a pilot zone for institutional mechanisms. In addition, Xiangcheng District officially released the "Several Policies to Support the Agglomeration and Development of the Blockchain Industry in Xiangcheng District, Suzhou City" at the conference. According to earlier reports, Xiangcheng District of Suzhou was approved as a blockchain industry development cluster zone in May.
