TechFlow reports, July 18, according to Radio Hong Kong citing Sotheby's, a black Tom Ford leather jacket worn and signed by NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang sold for $960,000 at a New York charity auction, 16 times the highest pre-auction estimate of $60,000. The lot was previously estimated at $40,000 to $60,000.
According to Sotheby's records, Jensen Huang wore this leather jacket when attending Hon Hai Technology Day on October 18, 2023. PSA confirmed its provenance through on-site photos, and the inner signature was authenticated by James Spence Authentication. The auction was initiated by Long Journey Ventures, and proceeds will be donated to the non-profit organization Edge Institute to support grants and residency programs for young innovators.
