TechFlow News: On May 30, Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Bahram Qasemi disclosed on the evening of May 29 (local time) that communications and dialogue between Iran and the United States remain ongoing, though no final consensus has yet been reached. Qasemi also stressed that Western parties, when engaging with or issuing statements regarding Iran, must refrain from using the term “must.” All decisions made by Iran will be based solely on the interests and legally enshrined rights of its people. Regarding navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, Qasemi explained that the strait lies within the territorial waters of both Iran and Oman, and that the two countries must establish an appropriate mechanism to ensure the security and interests of the coastal states while guaranteeing safe passage for international shipping.
