TechFlow News: On May 27, Eric Balchunas, Senior ETF Analyst at Bloomberg, posted on X stating that the 2x leveraged SK Hynix ETF’s assets under management (AUM) have grown approximately tenfold this year and it has now become the third-largest ETF in the Hong Kong market, accounting for roughly 8.5% of total ETF AUM.
Balchunas also noted that the ETF’s daily trading volume exceeds $1 billion. When equivalently scaled to the U.S. market size, this corresponds to a daily trading volume of approximately $150 billion—a level considered extremely rare globally among ETFs. If proportionally scaled, this ETF’s U.S. market equivalent would be an ETF with roughly $1.3 trillion in AUM—a scale that does not currently exist anywhere in the world.
