TechFlow News: On May 26, according to CoinDesk, Spain’s Ministry of Consumer Affairs initiated disciplinary proceedings against prediction market platforms Polymarket and Kalshi, ordering internet service providers to block access to these platforms. The ministry cited their operation without the gambling licenses required under Spanish gambling law, as well as their failure to implement safeguards for minors and self-excluded gamblers. The blocking measures will remain in effect throughout the case review period, which is expected to last three to four months.
