TechFlow News, May 26: Bitget announced the launch of Reality, a licensed financial protocol focused on tokenizing real-world assets (RWAs). Its tokenized stocks (rTokens) are strictly pegged 1:1 to underlying U.S. equities, with assets held in custody by a FINRA-registered, SIPC-protected U.S. securities broker and backed by real-time reserve attestations from independent third-party auditors. By directly connecting to U.S. equity liquidity pools—including Nasdaq and the NYSE—Reality’s stock tokens deliver liquidity comparable to traditional brokers. Dividends are distributed 1:1 in token form to users’ accounts; cash dividends are automatically converted into USDT; and stock splits and consolidations are reflected in real time on-chain—delivering an experience nearly identical to holding U.S. equities.
Furthermore, Reality’s U.S. equity tokens are deeply integrated into the Bitget ecosystem—for example, serving as margin for unified accounts and supporting core product lines including grid trading, copy trading, and staking-based lending.
Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget, previously introduced the “10% Vision”: currently, tokenized equities represent only 0.1% of the global $125 trillion equity market, but she forecasts this share will rise to nearly 10% by 2030. Reality is built upon this trend—initially focusing on U.S. equities at launch, then expanding to additional asset classes, thereby extending Bitget UEX’s strategic reach to become a broader global financial asset access layer.
