TechFlow News, May 21: Bitget announced the second year of its partnership with UNICEF GCC (Generation Connect Global Community). Since its launch, the initiative has reached over 642,000 adolescents, parents, and teachers across eight countries—Armenia, Brazil, Cambodia, India, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Morocco, and South Africa—with female participants accounting for 52% of the total. As part of the next phase, GCC’s curriculum will introduce new modules, including AI.
GCC was launched by UNICEF’s Office of Innovation to deliver digital skills education to adolescents in emerging economies. Bitget joined the initiative in June 2025 through a collaboration with UNICEF Luxembourg. During the first year of partnership, Bitget supported GCC’s advancement through multiple activities—including a field visit to Cambodia’s digital skills training program led by Bitget CMO Ignacio Aguirre, and CEO Gracy Chen’s support for GCC’s inaugural global UNICEF Game Jam, which empowered young creators to enhance their digital capabilities through game development, mentorship, and online courses.
In its second year, Bitget will continue supporting GCC’s expansion in curriculum development and geographic reach—including adding three new countries—and driving the implementation of AI-focused courses. Bitget CEO Gracy Chen stated that young people often grow rapidly when given opportunities and resources, and Bitget aims to help more youth build long-term digital competencies through this collaboration. Thomas Davin, Global Director of UNICEF’s Office of Innovation, also emphasized that GCC seeks to address gaps in digital skills education for today’s youth, and that UNICEF will continue partnering with Bitget to empower more vulnerable adolescent populations in need of support.
