TechFlow News, May 2: According to JIN10 Data, Apple has raised the starting price of its Mac Mini computers from $599 to $799 to address inventory shortages and tightening chip supply driven by surging AI demand. The company effectively implemented this price increase by discontinuing the entry-level configuration. Previously, the base model featured the M4 chip with 256GB of storage; the new entry-level model retains the same M4 chip but upgrades storage to 512GB. The starting price for the M4 Pro models remains unchanged at $1,399. As units priced at $599 have sold out across most sales channels, this configuration is no longer available. Inventory for other configurations remains extremely limited—shipping from Apple’s online store may take several weeks or even months, and availability at Apple retail stores is also severely constrained.
