The diplomatic sources said: “Proposals to extend the ceasefire agreement—set to expire on April 22—are currently under discussion.” The U.S. and Iran announced a two-week ceasefire on April 8 Beijing time. Delegations from both sides held negotiations in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, from April 11 to 12, but reached no agreement.
