TechFlow News, April 14: Guo Jiakun, spokesperson for China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, presided over the regular press conference. An Agence France-Presse (AFP) reporter asked: “U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance stated in an interview yesterday that it is now Iran’s turn to take the next step toward resuming negotiations. What is China’s comment on this? Moreover, what does China believe should be the next step toward ending this war?” Guo Jiakun responded that the current ceasefire situation is extremely fragile and that regional developments are at a critical juncture; therefore, the top priority is to fully prevent the resumption of hostilities and maintain the hard-won ceasefire momentum. Guo emphasized that relevant parties must abide by the temporary ceasefire arrangements and remain committed to resolving disputes through political and diplomatic means. China will continue working with the international community to encourage peace talks and contribute to the early restoration of peace and stability in the Middle East. (Jinshi)
