TechFlow News: On April 13, the Hong Kong SAR Government’s Innovation, Technology and Industry Bureau and the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) signed the “Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation for Innovation and Technology Development” to advance high-quality development of the digital economy through technological innovation. The MoU covers key areas including artificial intelligence, cross-border data flows, and blockchain, aiming to thoroughly implement the national 15th Five-Year Plan, support Hong Kong’s development as an international innovation and technology hub, and promote a new real economy centered on technological innovation. Chief Executive of the Hong Kong SAR John Lee stated that Hong Kong will continue deepening cooperation with the CAC to further facilitate cross-border data flows within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
