TechFlow News, April 12: According to Al Jazeera, despite extensive efforts by both sides, the United States and Iran have yet to reach an agreement. A framework of understanding is currently on the table. From Vice President Vance’s statement, some possibility remains—he described it as their “final and best” proposal. A source noted that the good news is that negotiations have not collapsed, but the bad news is that no breakthrough has been achieved.
It is understood that the two sides have held approximately five rounds of talks, with written exchanges of positions following each round—suggesting that a broader framework may already be in place. Currently, there exists one proposal and one counter-proposal. What we must watch closely is Iran’s response, as sources interviewed believe the U.S. side has put forward its maximum demands—particularly regarding the Strait of Hormuz—while Iran is unwilling to concede on this issue.
