TechFlow News reports that, according to CCTV News, on April 8, the National Radio and Television Administration launched a one-month special rectification campaign in January 2026 to address the rampant dissemination of “AI-modified” videos. The campaign focused on removing non-compliant videos that used AI to alter classic TV series based on the Four Great Classical Novels, historical themes, revolutionary themes, and heroic role models, while also removing various “cult” animated content. In total, over 23,000 non-compliant videos were removed and more than 100 violative accounts were penalized, effectively curbing the spread of such illicit content.
