TechFlow News, April 2nd: In a national televised address on Thursday, Trump detailed the military achievements of the “Operation Epic Wrath,” stating: “The U.S. military has achieved rapid and decisive victory. Our core strategic objectives are nearly accomplished. In the entire history of human warfare, no adversary has ever suffered such clear and devastating large-scale losses within just a few weeks.” He reiterated: “Iran’s capability to launch missiles and drones has been significantly degraded. We will never allow Iran to acquire nuclear weapons.”
On energy, Trump again emphasized: “We do not need oil from the Middle East. Thanks in part to Venezuela’s oil and natural gas, the United States is now entirely independent of Middle Eastern oil. The recent rise in domestic gasoline prices is a ‘short-term’ phenomenon. Oil production will soon increase substantially. Economically, the U.S. has never been better prepared.” Regarding the Strait of Hormuz—the issue most concerning markets—Trump still offered no timeline for its reopening: “We did not need the Strait of Hormuz in the past, nor do we need it now. Once the conflict ends, the strait will naturally reopen.” (Jin10)
