TechFlow News, April 1: According to data from JINSHI Data, the U.S. ADP National Employment Report released on Wednesday showed steady growth in private-sector employment for March. Private-sector payrolls increased by 62,000 jobs last month, while February’s gain was upwardly revised to 66,000. Markets had expected a 40,000-job increase for March. Nela Richardson, ADP’s chief economist, stated: “Overall hiring remains stable, but employment growth continues to concentrate in certain sectors—including healthcare. In March, wage growth for job switchers accelerated even as overall employment performance remained solid.” Data shows small businesses served as the primary driver of employment growth for the second consecutive month, while hiring in the trade, transportation, and utilities sector continued to decline. Wage growth for retained employees held steady for the third consecutive month, whereas year-on-year wage growth for job switchers accelerated to 6.6%.
