TechFlow News, April 1: According to Nikkei Asia, U.S. AI frontier lab Anthropic announced a partnership with the Australian government on April 1 to jointly advance AI safety research and assess the technology’s economic impact. Anthropic also stated it is considering investing in building a data center in Australia. Additionally, Anthropic announced a $3 million collaboration agreement with Australian research institutions, under which these institutions will leverage Anthropic’s AI tool Claude to advance research in disease diagnosis and treatment.
