TechFlow News, March 31: According to JINSHI Data, during an interview with CBS News, Trump stated he is “not yet ready” to abandon efforts to compel Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. A CBS reporter called Trump on Tuesday morning local time to seek clarification regarding his earlier suggestion that he might abandon such actions. Trump reiterated his dissatisfaction with other countries’ failure to deploy military forces to participate in the U.S.-Israel military campaign against Iran but affirmed that the U.S. has not yet prepared to withdraw from the conflict. “I will do so at some point, but not yet. Other countries must step in and handle it themselves. Iran has already been weakened, but they must complete this work themselves.” Trump also reaffirmed that, despite Iran continuing to attack vessels and infrastructure in Persian Gulf states, there is “no real threat” to the Strait of Hormuz. “Let them fight for it themselves. They’re unwilling to help anyone. NATO is terrible—everyone is terrible. So if they want oil, let them go get it themselves,” Trump said.
