TechFlow News, March 31: According to CryptoSlate, the Blockchain Leadership Fund (BLF) was officially launched on March 30, aiming to support candidates who advance digital asset and blockchain policy. Initial supporters include Anchorage Digital and Chainlink Labs.
The BLF is backed by members of The Digital Chamber and operates as a hybrid political action committee (PAC), enabling it to make direct contributions to candidates as well as conduct independent political advocacy campaigns. It plans to cover federal, state, and local elections.
Meanwhile, Fairshake—the cryptocurrency industry’s leading existing PAC—faced setbacks in the 2026 Illinois primary elections. In this election cycle, Fairshake spent nearly $20 million, yet with limited success: Juliana Stratton, Illinois Lieutenant Governor—whom Fairshake spent over $10 million to oppose—won the Democratic Senate primary; and State Representative La Shawn Ford secured re-election despite $2.5 million in opposition spending. Fairshake achieved victories in only three House races.
