TechFlow News: On March 31, according to Cubadebate, the Central Bank of Cuba (BCC) announced in its Official Gazette on March 23, 2026, the first authorization granted to ten enterprises—nine micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) and one mixed enterprise—to use cryptocurrencies for cross-border payments. The authorized enterprises span multiple sectors, including information technology, food services, transportation, and industry. Licenses are valid for one year and may be renewed upon application. Enterprises must conduct transactions through virtual asset service providers (VASPs) licensed by the BCC and submit quarterly transaction reports to the central bank.
